Description: The company was founded in 1860 by Edouard Heuer in St-Imier, Switzerland. His first chronograph was patented in 1882 and in 1887 Heuer patented the “oscillating pinion” still used in mechanical chronographs. In 1916, Heuer introduced the Micrograph, the first chronograph that would measure hundredths of a second. The Olympics in Antwerp, Paris and Amsterdam are timed with instruments of the firm. In 1962, Heuer became the main shareholder of Ed Heuer & Co. SA. Two years later, with the acquisition of its main competitor, Leonidas Watch Co, the company changed its name to Heuer-Leonidas SA. Leonidas was a manufacturer, among others, chronographs for the German air force. The model presented belongs to that period. Its main features are: Diameter: 52 mm. Button cord, startup and shutdown. Reset button. Hand wound mechanical movement, 7 jewels, antimagnetic, shock resistant. Steel matte mixed black case. Pressure backcase.
